Instructions for Testing
In order to do the tests,
you need access to a computer with the following minimum requirements,
these are the minimum. If you do not have a computer with these
requirements, then you need to find one. We suggest asking a friend or
family member to use theirs, or see if your church will allow you to use
one. In this day and age, someone will have one you can use for a few
hours.
MINIMUM COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS
- PC or Mac
- RAM - 64MB or more
- Operating System - Any
- Monitor - 800 x 600 SVGA, 256 Color Resolution or better
- Internet Web Browser with Java Support such as Internet Explorer
or Mozilla
- Modem or, our preferred method, a high speed connection, DSL,
etc. The faster the better.
- Sun Java 5 or better.

You will need scratch
paper and pencils for math questions.
You will need a quite
place without distractions, so computer location is a factor.
Very Important: Follow the directions outlined in the forms we mailed you. It is essential that you read and follow every detail. The
letter you received, entitled, "Testing Instructions for MAP", contains your "Name
and Password" which you will use at the NWEA Test Taker Window to log-in. The
letter also contains a list of the tests your student should take and your
students ID#. You will need this information as you set up the tests. If you lost your letter, then contact our office by e-mail, testing@acces-inc.com, or call 1-800-854-5840 for the "Name and Password". If you lost your letters, then you will need to download the following PDF files listed below. They are the same as the original forms we sent you. You must read and follow the directions on these forms in order to have a successful testing time.
